Startup credits in India

A startup registered in India can apply to 1538 programs we track: 1083 credit programs and 455 accelerators.

India is well covered by the global credit programs, and an Indian private limited company clears the entity requirement for almost all of them.

Here is what is genuinely open to you, taken from real eligibility rules, along with the programs that are restricted to other countries.

What your entity needs to be

A private limited company registered with the MCA is the usual requirement, and DPIIT recognition is worth having: several domestic programs key off it, and it costs nothing beyond the paperwork. An LLP is accepted less often than a Pvt Ltd, so if you have the choice, the Pvt Ltd causes fewer arguments.

Questions founders here ask

It unlocks Indian government-backed schemes and some domestic accelerator tracks. The global cloud programs do not ask for it, they ask for a registered company and, for the larger tiers, a partner referral.

A private limited company is accepted most widely. LLPs are sometimes fine, sole proprietorships usually are not, because the programs are structured around a company that can hold an account and sign terms.
