Startup credits in Singapore
A startup registered in Singapore can apply to 1300 programs we track: 936 credit programs and 364 accelerators. 127 more are restricted to other countries, and they are named below.
Singapore is the entity founders elsewhere in Asia are forever being told to buy, so if you are already here the headline is short: a Pte Ltd clears the company requirement on effectively every global credit program we track.
The friction sits somewhere else. The strongest local programs are shaped by presence rather than by paperwork. Antler runs a six-week in-person residency here and Entrepreneur First expects founders on the ground, while state-linked platforms such as SGInnovate are built around the deep-tech gaps the ecosystem wants closed. Reading a programme as open because it appears under a country filter is how a month disappears.
Both halves of this page are computed from live catalog data, the open list and the restricted one, so neither is a guess about what the terms probably say.
What your entity needs to be
A private limited company registered with ACRA is the standard form and it satisfies the registered-company requirement on the global credit programs without argument. Two local details do come up. The company needs at least one director ordinarily resident in Singapore, and government-linked schemes typically add local shareholding or substantive-operations tests that no cloud provider asks about. Founders abroad sometimes set up a Singapore holding company for credits alone, which is the wrong reason for it: the resident director, corporate secretary and annual filing costs recur, and a credit grant does not. Do it for customers, investors or a regional team, and count the credit access as a side effect.
