StartupFlow AI

Comparison

StartupFlow AI vs doing the research yourself

If you only need the three big cloud programs, research them yourself: they are easy to find and the applications take an afternoon. A tool earns its place when you want the long tail, when your country or funding stage rules you out of the obvious ones, or when you want to know why you were rejected.

Writing a comparison against your own alternative is usually a hatchet job. This one tries not to be, because a founder who does not need us and signs up anyway is a churn statistic, not a customer.

So: here is when doing it yourself is genuinely the right call, and here is where it stops working.

What we would actually do

Do it yourself if you want the big three

AWS Activate, Google for Startups Cloud and Microsoft Founders Hub are not hard to find, and all three application forms are short. If that is your whole plan, you do not need a tool, you need an afternoon. Our comparison of the three is free and has no signup.

The long tail is where the hours go

We track over 2,400 credit and accelerator programs. Most founders have heard of maybe fifteen. Reading eligibility terms for the rest is the part nobody actually does, and it is where the programs that fit an unusual profile tend to live.

Eligibility is the real cost, not discovery

Finding a program takes a minute. Working out whether your stage, country, funding history and entity type clear its rules takes far longer, and getting it wrong costs a rejected application. We check that deterministically against structured rules, which is the part that does not scale by hand.

What we deliberately do not do

We never submit an application for you and we are not a broker. You always apply on the provider’s own site, and we have no commercial relationship that would make us rank one program above another.

Not sure which you clear?

Five questions, and we check the real rules for you.

Check eligibility

Common questions

Yes. Every one of the programs in our catalog is browsable without an account, including full eligibility details. You pay only for the personalised matching, the application drafting and the alerts.

Every program page shows when we last verified it against the provider’s own page, and says so plainly when we have not verified it yet rather than showing an edit date dressed up as a check.

No. We have no revenue relationship with the programs we list, which is why we can say plainly when one is closed to you or not worth applying to.
