What you need to qualify

• Be a new, non-paying Notion customer with a valid work email (no Gmail, Outlook or other personal address)
• Have not received any previous Notion promotion
• Have fewer than 100 employees
• Provide a public company website and a company domain email address
• Six months free is for non-paying customers under 100 employees who are affiliated with one of Notion’s select startup partners
• Three months free is for non-paying customers under 100 employees with a valid business website and a company domain email address
• One month free is for non-paying customers under 10 employees (SMBs), or startups who provided incomplete business information during application
• The offer may only be applied once, cannot be combined with any other offer, and cannot be applied to Enterprise plans

How to apply

1. 1

   Get a partner code if you have one

   The six month tier is only granted to startups affiliated with one of Notion’s select startup partners (Notion lists more than a thousand VCs, accelerators, communities and tech platforms). Request the code from your partner first, because it is entered in the application.

2. 2

   Set up a Notion workspace on a company email

   Apply as a new, non-paying customer using a company domain email address. Personal addresses such as Gmail or Outlook are not accepted, and you need a valid Notion domain.

   Submit the application

   Use the "Unlock your startup offer" button on notion.com/startups, which opens the form at notion.com/startups-apply. Supply your public company website and, if you have one, the partner code.

4. 4

   Wait for the review

   Notion states processing takes up to 3 to 5 business days. Approval depends on verifying the company website, business legitimacy, employee count and startup classification.

5. 5

   Redeem the offer

   On approval Notion emails a confirmation and the Business plan upgrade takes effect on your workspace immediately.
