How to apply
- 1
Get a Google Cloud billing account ID
The application asks for your 18-character Google Cloud billing account ID. You create it when you sign up as a new Google Cloud user; on an existing account, open the console, go to Billing, then Manage your billing account.
- 2
Use a business email on your own domain
The business email in the application must match your startup's public website domain and the domain associated with the billing account, or the credits are not approved.
- 3
Apply to the Google for Startups Cloud Program
Submit the application at cloud.google.com/startup/apply. The form is behind a Google sign-in, so sign in with the account tied to that billing ID.
- 4
Evidence your funding if you are going for the Scale tier
Provide links to publicly available online sources detailing the equity investments in your company. Google asks you not to send pitch decks or funding documents, and stealth companies are told to work with their investor to verify funding.
- 5
Request the Workspace benefit after acceptance
Most applicants are informed within a few business days, and applications needing manual review can take 10 days or more. Workspace, Maps Platform and AI benefit details are provided in the program welcome email.
