What you need to qualify

  • Startups working in Digital Health, InsureTech, AI and Machine Learning, AgriTech, Food Supply, IoT and Connectivity, Fintech, Clean and ClimateTech or Blockchain.
  • An impact and sustainability focus: the programme connects founders with global corporations, corporate leaders, mentors and impact investors.
  • Willingness to take part in a South Africa based programme, including selection days and the accelerator kick-off.

How to apply

    Apply through the programme application portal

    The apply button on the AfriTech page hands off to the programme listing on VC4A, which is where the application itself is submitted.

    Introductory call

    A first conversation with the Startupbootcamp AfriTech team about your startup.

  3. 3

    Meeting with the programme director

    A deeper session with the programme director on fit, traction and what you need from the programme.

  4. 4

    Due diligence review

    The team reviews the company before shortlisting for selection.

  5. 5

    Pitch at selection week

    Shortlisted teams pitch on the selection days, after which the selected startups are announced.

  6. 6

    Accelerator kick-off

    The 10 selected startups start the 3-month programme, which ends with an Impact Day.
