- Startups demonstrating traction, ideally growth-stage startups
- Revenue generating technology startups based in Africa
- Building a scalable product or service with a significant total addressable market and a defensible growth model
- Deeply technical, preferably leveraging technologies like machine learning and AI, or showing clear interest in them
- Commitment from the CTO and other technical roles to participate in the required program sessions
- All founders, meaning the CEO and CTO, available for all program elements

The cohort is for growth-stage, revenue generating African technology startups that use or are moving towards machine learning and AI, with technical leadership able to attend the sessions.

Applications for the 2026 cohort opened on February 4, 2026 and closed on March 18, 2026. The application is made from the Africa program page while the window is open.

The 2026 cohort kicked off in April 2026 and ran to graduation and Demo Day in June 2026, mixing remote and in-person one to one and group sessions with sprint projects.
