How to apply

  1. 1

Pick the programme that matches where you are

Kickstart lays the foundation for scaling in modules of one to three days, Market Discovery validates the business model in a new market, and Market Access launches and expands in that market and "last a minimum of 3 months".

  2. 2

Submit the eligibility form with your pitch deck

All programmes route through one form: "Simply fill out our form, and we will assess your eligibility and get back to you soon!" The application asks for a pitch deck plus answers about the business, its vision and its current growth stage.

  3. 3

    Wait for the selection review

The team reviews the submitted materials and notifies the startups it selects.

  4. 4

Take part, then step up to the next programme

Programmes run as workshops, mentor sessions and, for Market Access, an in-country immersion week. Participants finish with an expansion plan and can continue into Market Discovery or another Market Access programme.

Frequently asked

Nothing, and no. "Participation in the Market Access program is fully funded, meaning there are no direct costs to startups", and the Kickstart page states participation is fully funded with no direct costs to startups and no equity taken. Funding comes from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.

Companies incorporated in Germany in an accepted legal form, qualifying as an SME under the EU definition, and compliant with EU De-minimis aid rules.

Through the eligibility form at germanaccelerator.com/check-your-eligibility. You submit a pitch deck and answers about your business, and the team comes back with which programme fits.

There is no single deadline. Each programme and each location publishes its own application deadline and its own programme start and end dates on that programme's page, so check the page for the programme and market you want.

It varies by programme. Market Access runs "a minimum of 3 months" and "the program length varies based on the location you choose and the specific needs of each startup", while Kickstart is built from short modules of one to three days.
