How to apply

  1. 1

Check you are in one of the four eligible sectors

Agriculture and agribusiness, food processing, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, or fashion. The application form offers no other option, so a company outside those four cannot complete it.

  2. 2

Gather the three mandatory documents first

Commercial registration certificate, memorandum of establishment or articles of association, and audited financial statements for the last three consecutive years. Every upload must be PDF and under 10MB. The three years of audited statements are the item most likely to delay an application.

  3. 3

    Complete the ten-section registration form

The form runs from enterprise basics (legal name, year of establishment, legal status, commercial registration number, TIN) through contact details, sector and markets, size and finances, ownership and leadership including a classification of women-owned or youth-owned, then three long-form questions, the document uploads, and the commitment declaration.

  4. 4

    Write the three long-form answers

Company description covering background, ownership, value proposition and target customers; business challenges across operational, financial, market, regulatory or organizational areas; and the support areas you need. Each prose answer is capped at 300 words, roughly 2000 characters, with a 50 character minimum.

  5. 5

Accept the programme commitment declaration and submit

Section 10 of the form is a programme commitment and declaration that has to be accepted before Submit Application will go through.

Frequently asked

Established Egyptian SMEs in agriculture and agribusiness, food processing, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, or fashion, trading for at least two years with annual turnover between EGP 5 million and EGP 200 million. Note that this is Falak only currently listed programme, and it targets established SMEs rather than early stage tech startups.

Not through this programme. It prepares financials, legal structures and business models to meet bank and investor requirements, and Falak states plainly that participation does not guarantee financing but increases readiness. The programme also connects participants with potential partners and financial institutions.

Through the online registration form linked from the programme page. It is ten sections long and requires three PDF uploads: commercial registration certificate, memorandum of establishment or articles of association, and audited financial statements for the last three consecutive years, each under 10MB. Nothing can be submitted until the commitment declaration is accepted.

One year, in four steps: a structured business assessment of strengths, gaps and opportunities; capacity building workshops on financial management, valuation, debt restructuring and organizational development; one-on-one advisory on real business challenges; and support connecting with potential partners and financial institutions.

Falak publishes no deadline or cohort dates. The application form is live, so the practical answer is to apply and ask, but do not plan around a date that has not been published.
