What you need to qualify
- Determined: ambitious, resilient founders, with a real sense of urgency.
- Technical: deep technical expertise with industry experience.
- Magnetic: empathetic founders, with a strong ability to persuade through concise storytelling.
- Work must sit in one of the five sectors DSV builds in: agriculture (restorative cultivation), climate (reversing global heating), computation (scaling intelligence), pharma (curative therapeutics) and education (developing venture scientists).
- For the Venture Science Doctorate route: a masters degree or higher in natural sciences, engineering or a related technical field, full-time commitment of five days a week, and no pre-existing IP, since all ventures are built from scratch during the programme.

Or take the Venture Science Doctorate route
The Venture Science Doctorate is a separate three-year fully funded PhD route with a monthly stipend of GBP 2,500 plus an annual health insurance contribution, at the end of which the IP transfers to your new venture and you lead it as cofounder. It has its own page and its own application form.
