How to apply

  1. 1

Watch the acceleration page for the next programme

Bahrain FinTech Bay runs partner-sponsored cohorts and challenges rather than one standing intake. Each is listed on bahrainfintechbay.com/acceleration with its year and status, either Completed or Applications Closed.

  2. 2

    Open that programme's own page

Every programme has its own page, for example bahrainfintechbay.com/nbb-innovation-programme, and that page is where the eligibility rules, the timeline and the application route are published. The acceleration index page itself carries no form.

  3. 3

    Apply inside the published window

Windows are short and dated. The NBB Innovation Programme, the most recent listed, took applications from 8 October to 4 December 2025, ran selection from 7 to 11 December 2025, onboarded from 28 to 31 December 2025 and ran for three weeks in January 2026 with a demo day on 2 February 2026.

  4. 4

Ask BFB directly when no window is open

The programme pages publish info@bahrainfintechbay.com and bahrainfintechbay.com/contact-us for enquiries, which is the only route while every listed programme shows applications closed.

Frequently asked

A series of partner-sponsored acceleration programmes and challenges rather than one recurring cohort. The acceleration page reports 161 startups supported across 16 completed programmes, 990 applications received and 515,000 US dollars distributed in total support.

There is no standing intake and no next window is published. Each programme opens its own dated window: the most recent listed, the NBB Innovation Programme, took applications from 8 October to 4 December 2025 and now shows Applications Closed, as does every other programme on the page.

It depends on the sponsor. The NBB Innovation Programme, run with the National Bank of Bahrain, awarded 10,000 US dollars to the first-place winner plus a three month incubation at Bahrain FinTech Bay with mentor access and resources.

Eligibility is set per programme. The NBB Innovation Programme required early-stage fintech startups or teams whose idea could still be at concept stage, Bahraini nationals, and founders committed to building for Bahrain and the MENA region. The Innovation Studio track was instead for emerging Bahraini fashion and jewellery designers.

Through the individual programme page while its window is open, not through the acceleration index. General enquiries go to info@bahrainfintechbay.com.
