What you need to qualify
- No solo founders. Antler states it does not invest in solo founders: most people join Antler solo, and the goal of the residency is to form a complementary founding team.
- Inception to pre-seed stage. Antler is the first investor and backs founders at inception, often pre-team, pre-product or pre-revenue.
- Founder profiles Antler backs include returning founders, business leaders, tech and product leaders and domain experts, and it looks for creative problem solving, inner drive and grit.
- Availability for the full eight-week residency, which runs in person across Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

Pick Sydney on the Antler application form
Antler runs one application form for every location. On antler.co/apply choose the Asia Pacific region and Sydney.

Submit the Antler application form
The form asks for first and last name, email, LinkedIn, the stage you are at, an optional company description, an optional website and an optional pitch deck of up to 10MB. Antler confirms that your application is with the Antler team and says it will be in touch by email if there is a fit.

Apply well ahead of the residency start date
Antler publishes start dates rather than deadlines and says it strongly encourages you to apply early to secure a seat. The next Australia residency starts on February 8, 2027, the cohort Antler labels February 2027.

Form a founding team during the residency
Antler Australia runs an 8-week residency twice a year, in February and July. Most founders arrive solo, and forming a complementary founding team during the residency is the point of it, because Antler does not invest in solo founders.
