What you need to qualify

  • Based in Dothan, Alabama or the wider Wiregrass Region. Applicants from outside the region are encouraged to apply if they intend to relocate.
  • Able to take part in at least 85 percent of programming, ideally 100 percent, which the page puts at 5 to 7 hours a week.
  • Prepared to discuss your business openly with mentors and investors.
  • Either selling already or ready to scale sales, and actively pursuing revenue growth or fundraising.
  • Coachable, open to feedback and responsive in a fast-paced environment.

How to apply

    Submit the online application

    gener8tor takes applications through an online form linked from the program page. No cohort is open at the time of this audit, so the page shows no live form and lists the application deadline as TBD.

    Wait for the interview invitation

    After applications close, the program director contacts the companies selected for an interview.

  3. 3

    Pitch in one or two interview rounds

    Selected companies present their business to the gener8tor team over one or two rounds of interviews.

    Receive the decision

    gener8tor notifies applicants whether they have a place in the cohort of up to five companies.

    Sign the participation agreement

    Accepted companies sign a participation agreement and commit to the seven weeks of programming.

Nothing. It is a free seven-week pre-accelerator and gener8tor charges no fee for a place.

Early-stage founders building in forestry, sustainability and the forest products economy, based in Dothan and the Wiregrass Region of Alabama or willing to relocate there. Up to five companies are selected per cohort.

Seven weeks. The eligibility list asks for 5 to 7 hours a week and the FAQ describes 4 to 6 hours of programming plus independent work, with attendance of at least 85 percent expected.

A one-to-one concierge mentorship experience, introductions to mentors and investors, and more than $1M in deals and perks from vendors including IBM Cloud, Amazon, HubSpot and Microsoft. gener8tor's stated goal is that at least a third of graduates raise $50k or more, join an investment accelerator or are acquired within a year.
